Ricardo Ysasi

Born in Biscay in 1917, a draughtsman and painter from childhood, he began studying architecture and law but eventually abandoned them for his vocation as a painter.

A figurative artist with a markedly Basque style, his landscapes and portraits faithfully reflect the style that defined the artistic moment of his time.
