LA MILLA DEL ARTE

Held every year in the heart of Madrid’s Salamanca district, La Milla del Arte (The Art Mile) is a major exhibition and sale organised mainly by four art galleries: Aleseide Gallery, Grabadosylitografías, Ediciones Escultura Histórica–Espacio Ferrer-Dalmau and Galería de Arte Pilares.
The show features a carefully chosen selection of works by the finest artists of the 20th and 21st centuries in painting, sculpture and prints. A space is also always set aside for emerging artists, so that they can enter into dialogue with the great artists of the past, enriching the fair’s artistic range and confirming once again that tradition and modernity not only do not exclude each other, but need each other.

Names such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Eduardo Chillida, Jaume Plensa, Antonio Saura, Fernando Zóbel, Rafael Canogar, Luis Feito, Gustavo Torner, Edgar Negret and Martín Chirino will share an exhibition space of more than 200 square metres, forming a route that creates a dialogue between different generations and artistic languages. For the second year running, Ediciones Escultura Histórica returns with works by the painter of battles, Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau, and a selection of bronzes depicting the leading figures of Spanish history.
